The French Application Center, located in Limonest (north of Lyon), provides a wide range of solutions for testing applications in the field of ultrasonic, eddy current or radiographic inspection.
The Center provides:
Design and manufacture of specific ultrasound transducers and eddy current probes, as well as auxiliary equipment
Study and development of inspection methods (ultrasound, radiographic, eddy current)
Direct and unique links with the other General Electric Inspection Technologies Application Centers, allowing a global application analysis.
A complete range of radiograpic films solutions
A wide selection of GE equipment:
Ultrasonic Flaw detectors
Ultrasonic thickness gauges with or without A-scan display
Hardness testers - using either the Ultrasonic Contact Impedance Method, the Rebound Method or the Through Indenter Viewing Method
Typical activities carried out:
Detecting internal flaws and lack of fusion in welds. Flaw detection (cracks, inclusions,...) in castings, forgings or machined castings etc.
Testing of hardening depth
Measuring thickness and detecting flaws in specific environments (high temperature, pressure, radiation, chemical stress etc.)
