The Center provides:

• Manufacture of custom ultrasonic transducers and eddy current probes and fixtures
• Comprehensive range of film solutions including a wide assortment of film speeds and formats plus a full selection of film processors including the ecologically safe NDT M eco
• Precision ultrasonic immersion tank with high performance flaw detectors and GE data acquisition and visualization software
• Full range of GE ultrasonic flaw detectors including the portable USM 25, PC-based USLT 2000 and the system instrument USIP 40
• Complete range of ultrasonic thickness fauges including the DMS2, for corrosion measurement, and the CL 400 precision gauge both with A-scan verification
• Hardness testers based on the Ultrasonic Contact Impedance (UCI), Rebound and Through Indenter Viewing (TIV) principles
• Eddy Cyrrent flaw detectors as well as crack detectors and conductivity meters

Typical applications include detection of internal flaws and lack of fusion in welds, location of surface breaking cracks in bearings, aircraft wheels and munitions, and inspection of metal turbine blades.
