EN 12668-2 Certified Transducers

The results of an ultrasonic inspection are only as reliable as the probe that is used to perform the test. The performance of a high quality probe must be

• Accurate relative to its nominal specifcations
• Reproducible and consistent among probes of the same type.

To assure high quality and consistency among flaw detection probes, the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) has rati.ed standard EN 12668-2, "Non-destructive testing - characterization and verification of ultrasonic examination equipment - Part 2: Probes."
